Perimeter is a total distance around a shape. In case of a triangle the perimeter is the sum of the length of all its sides.

**P = a + b + c**

P = perimeter

a = length of side a

b = length of side b

c = length of side c

Example:

If *a = 2*, *b = 4*, and *c = 6* then the perimeter of the triangle will be *2 + 4 + 6* which means *12*.
